Megan Young
Megan has been employed at Rankin and Young since July 2000 and became the firm's principal in 2007. Prior to Rankin and Young she was employed for 5 years in the audit division of a second tier accounting firm. Megan's qualifications include member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand, CAANZ SMSF Specialist, ASIC SMSF Auditor, Registered Tax Agent and Registered Company Auditor. Megan's major focus is to assist small and medium sized businesses with their day to day accounting issues and longer term tax minimisation strategies. This includes specialist taxation advice on a variety of issues.
Hayden Young
Hayden has completed a Bachelor of Accounting and has been employed by Rankin and Young since 1998. His focus is on assisting individuals, partnerships, trusts, and companies with the day-to-day management of their financial affairs, as well as addressing annual compliance and income tax requirements.
He particularly enjoys supporting small businesses in achieving their goals and meeting reporting obligations. Hayden is committed to building long-term client relationships and providing practical, tailored advice that helps clients make informed financial decisions.
Joel McFadyen
Joel joined Rankin and Young in 2021 and is an experienced SMSF Accountant with over 20 years in the SMSF industry. Known for his strong communication skills and deep understanding of self-managed super funds. Joel plays a critical role in supporting clients with compliance, reporting, and strategic planning. His approachable nature and clarity in complex matters make him a valued member of the team. Joel is passionate about helping clients make informed decisions to secure their financial futures.
Kirrily Moncur
Kirrily has been a valued member of Rankin and Young since 2015. As a Chartered Accountant with expertise in SMSF accounting and SMSF auditing dating back to 2000. She collaborates closely with a range of accounting firms and SMSF trustees. Kirrily conducts comprehensive SMSF audits and provides expert guidance on compliance with SIS requirements. She is recognised for her thorough approach, strong technical knowledge and commitment to supporting clients with practical and reliable support.
Robert Young

Robert is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, a CAANZ SMSF Specialist and an ASIC-approved SMSF Auditor with over 50 years of experience in taxation, audit, and self-managed superannuation funds. While largely retired from day-to-day practice, Robert continues to support the office by lending his expertise on complex funds, ensuring clients receive the benefit of his depth of knowledge and extensive industry experience.
